Keynote Speakers Announced for Upcoming Maximum Farming Forums

Ag Spectrum Company will present Maximum Farming Forums in three Midwestern cities during February. The Forums provide an introduction to the Maximum Farming System for clients and prospects who want to learn more about saving money, improving soils, reducing inputs, and increasing yields on their own farms.

Forums are scheduled at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport in St. Louis on February 2-3; at the Indianapolis Marriott North in Indianapolis on February 16-17; and at the West Des Moines Marriott in West Des Moines on February 23-24. Preregistration is required.

Ag Spectrum has announced three agricultural economists who will keynote the conferences. Mark Pearson, host of PBS’s “Market to Market” television program leads the lineup in St. Louis. Pearson will discuss “What’s Ahead for Agriculture?,” looking at farm markets, corn, soybean, wheat, hog and cattle prices, global trends, ag policy issues, and more. Dr. Matt Roberts, Associate Professor of Ag Economics at The Ohio State University, is a nationally-renowned expert on the grain and energy markets, and he will present “2010 Markets: More Than Just Grains,” at Ag Spectrum’s Indianapolis conference. Dr. David Kohl, President of AgriVisions, LLC, will present “Mega Trends of Agriculture in the Age of Turbulence” in West Des Moines. He will explain how technology, energy resources, global markets, land values and interest rates affect the agricultural industry.

Each forum will feature presentations by Ag Spectrum managers, agronomists, and scientific consultants on topics such as soil biology; corn, alfalfa, wheat and soybean production; foliar feeding; how to overcome plant stresses; and how plant energy stimulates crop production. Ag Spectrum, based in DeWitt, Iowa, has operated for 26 years on the principles of maximizing profits through efficient farming. The company’s Nu-Till System, also known as Maximum Farming, emphasizes air and water management in the soil and the ideal management of nutrients using soil testing, planter modifications, and research-driven solutions.
